The End of Diana and Charles


  • Diana and Charles marriage was really rocky by the late eighties and early nineties.
  • Charles "affair" with Camilla seemed as though it would never end.
  • Charles becomes closer to Camilla at the end.
  • A biography about Diana was published, the biography talked about everything in her life.
  • The biography stated Charles to be a careless husband. Charles reputation was wounded.
  • Charles and the Queen decided there was no point holding on the a marriage that was clearly over.
  • In the beginning of 1993 Diana and Charles finally separated.
  • Diana stayed a Kensington Palace and got custody of her sons.
  • Both Diana and Charles completely redecorated their houses, to remove all the memories in the house of each other.

Post Marital Depression

  • After the marriage ended Diana was both relieved and happy at first.
  • Slowly the joy of separation slowed down and Diana was lonely, missing her kids and just sad.
  • All Diana wanted to do was to move out of Kensington Palace and start over, but she couldn't because she would loose custody of her children.
  • Diana hated her home and her life.
  • She was still actively in the media, even though she was no longer a member of the Royal family.
  • She was followed by the media everywhere she went, she once was photographed at her gym.
